Thank you for your interest in the Balance Retraining study. Experiencing dizziness can be very bothersome and this may interfere with many aspects of your daily life. People who are dizzy often avoid physical activities especially those involving quick movements because they’re worried it will make their dizziness worse. This inactivity can also lead to other health problems such as a stiff neck, headaches, and becoming unfit. Some people avoid important activities such as working, traveling, or going out alone to avoid feeling dizzy. It is important to have good balance especially as you get older, to reduce the risk of falling and hurting yourself. We have therefore designed this program to help reduce these problems. By going through the simple exercises and information we hope you will learn many new ways to help you to manage your dizziness and/or balance problems. The information and exercises provided in this program are evidence-based.
