Since the purpose of the study is to investigate the effect of the Internet-mediated CBT CoronaStress self-help program, half of the participants will receive the program immediately and the other half will have to wait for 6 weeks before starting their program. This is done in order to be able to compare the effect of the program with those waiting for it. After the first 6 weeks, the group that had to wait for the program will have the opportunity to undergo the same program.
The CoronaStress self-help program takes place over 6 weeks and will allow you to choose the areas that you feel stress most affects you. The program consists of being able to read texts and conduct exercises every week. Furthermore, when you want to ask questions and get feedback one of the CoronaStress team, you can send a question. A trained team member who is either a mental health professional or student who is supervised will provide guidance.
After completion of treatment, all participants will be asked to chat and complete forms that evaluate the treatment's results. These forms will also be completed for 6 months and one year after completion of treatment to see if the treatment provides long-term improvement.
